Privacy Policy

This document outlines the protocols governing the collection, management, and protection of archival data within the Legacy Probates ecosystem. As a fiduciary institution, we maintain the highest standards of data integrity for heirs and beneficiaries.

01. Collection of Heir Data

To facilitate the accurate identification and verification of legal successors, Legacy Probates collects specific categories of personal information. This includes, but is not limited to, full legal names, historical residential records, government-issued identification, and lineage documentation.

Mandatory Information Sets

  • verified Primary identification records and civil certificates.
  • account_tree Genealogical data and kinship verification documents.
  • history_edu Historical probate records and previous legal filings.

02. Secure Storage and Retention

All sensitive information is housed within our "Digital Vault" infrastructure—a multi-layered architecture utilizing AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. We treat digital records with the same permanence and security as physical archival parchment.

Legacy Probates retains records for a duration mandated by international probate statutes, typically spanning ten to twenty-five years post-settlement, to ensure the integrity of the legacy chain and provide a definitive audit trail for future claims.

03. Beneficiary Privacy

The confidentiality of the beneficiary is our paramount concern. Information regarding the valuation of estates, distribution timelines, and specific asset allocation is strictly restricted to the verified beneficiary and their authorized legal counsel. We do not engage in the sale of beneficiary lists or behavioral data to third-party marketing entities.

05. Rights of Verified Heirs

Individuals who have successfully completed the verification process maintain the following rights over their digital archive:

Right to Audit

Request a comprehensive log of all internal and external access to your archival records.

Right to Rectification

The ability to update or correct historical data with the provision of updated legal documentation.

Right to Portability

Obtain a certified digital transcript of your claim data for use in external legal proceedings.

Right to Restriction

Limit the processing of data during active legal disputes or verification challenges.
